Orakei Point Plan Change

Our client was seeking to redevelop land around the Orakei Train Station to allow for a mix of activities including up to 800 residential units, 10,000m2 of retail activity and 10,000m2 of office activity. To provide for this level of development, a Plan Change was required.

TPC provided traffic engineering and transport planning expertise on the project including streetscape design and layout; intersection design; vehicle access design; pedestrian access; and the integration of the train station with the upgraded bus facilities to be provided on Orakei Road. Also assessed were the intersection capacity and road improvement works that were required to cater for the level of traffic that would be generated by the activities anticipated as part of the Plan Change.
